First Fruit's partner organisation, Just Homes, manages hostels and houses for single homeless men, single mothers with children, and families.
Access to the men's hostels is through referral agencies only. Clients there must have the right to remain in the UK and be eligible to claim state benefits. They must also be willing to access opportunities for training, work-related experience and employment. Maximimum stay is two years, although most typically move on within a year to eighteen months.
Our managers work with the clients on their agreed support plans, with the aim of gaining greater independence and moving on into longer-term accommodation. We regret that we are not able to accommodate clients with active drug or alcohol problems.
Just Homes also accepts referrals on behalf of single mothers with children who may not curently have recourse to public funds.
